Buenos Aires, Argentina, October 30, 2017 – AudioVideo BrandBuilder Corporation experienced another successful participation at the CAPER show in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This year, AVBB joined forces with its reseller, VIDEObit, to participate at this well-known Latin American event that took place from October 25 – 27 at the Costa Salguero Convention Center. Phabrix, Skreens, Wowow, and EEG were represented in the stand with their latest and most innovative products.
Phabrix presented their Qx solution for 12G, IP, and HDR signals, as well as their industry-known Sx hand-held units and Rx rasterizer range. “Although the interest for T&M instruments for IP in Argentina is not as strong as in Brazil, companies are checking out what is out there for their future needs. Phabrix could play an important role when the moment arises and we are ready for it”, commented Martin Mulligan, Director of Global Sales for Phabrix. Several companies, such as Channel 7 and LMSTV, are aware of the portable SxE instrument and stopped by the booth to see Phabrix’s latest developments.
AVBB continued with the introduction in Latin America of Skreens products. These set-top boxes allow to display up to four HDMI inputs on one single screen. A built-in Chrome web browser is included. People can create high-quality videos and stream them on any RMTP services, such as YouTube, UStream, Facebook, etc. Another model of the Skreens products is ideal for video walls and video conferencing.
With the mandatory requirements for closed captions in Latin America, EEG products couldn’t have arrived at a better time. Several closed-caption encoders are available for the Latin American market, including the HD492 with Cloud capabilities. This model works with live programming as well as pre-recorded material using the CCMatch technology. It can also insert SCTE-104 ancillary data, V-chip, and XDS information, as needed. AVBB is the official representative of EEG in Latin America.
WonderLook Pro and the IS-miniX, both manufactured by Wowow, are two great tools for colorists and DIT’s. Frame capture, ancillary data display, and frame markers are some of the key features of the IS-miniX LUT box. Chroma Key and text/logo insertion add functionality on the WonderLook Pro color management software.
“Interest for the new product developments of our partner, Phabrix, and curiosity for the new products we represent were predominant at this CAPER show. That’s why for next year, AVBB and our reseller VIDEObit will start a series of visits to customers in Argentina so we can bring these products closer to them, explain the technology, do product presentations, and answer any specific questions these customers may have” comments Carlos Noguera, Director of Sales for Latin America for AVBB.
“We believe the Argentinian economic market is improving slowly, just like in the rest of the region. 2018 will be an important year for manufacturers as a better improvement is expected in Latin America. It is one of the reasons why we have continued our presence in this market, reassuring our customers that we are here with them and that they can count on our support”, concludes Christian Young, Director of Marketing for AVBB.
